Tessolve has appointed Ravi Kumar Chirugudu (former SVP and Business Leader at HCL Technologies) as its President and Chief Operating Officer, the company said in a statement. The move comes as the semiconductor engineering services firm seeks to expand its global capabilities and strengthen customer partnerships.

Chirugudu, who brings over 35 years of experience in silicon systems, embedded software and product development, will lead the company’s growth strategy. He will focus on expanding engineering capabilities, deepening customer relationships and accelerating innovation across semiconductor and high-performance computing domains.

Chirugudu said he has joined at a time when the industry is moving towards complex, AI-driven systems. He said the company’s engineering expertise and global team provide a strong foundation for scalable solutions.

The appointment also follows recent developments at Tessolve, including its acquisition of Dream Chip Technologies and a $150 million investment from TPG. The company said the leadership change will support its expansion across the semiconductor value chain.

Srini Chinamilli, Co-founder and CEO of Tessolve, said this appointment is essential as the rising global demand is creating opportunities across design, packaging, validation, and systems integration.

Previously, in an interaction with AIM, Chinamilli mentioned that India already has significant domestic demand, not just from Indian firms but also from multinational companies manufacturing for the Indian market, and that a fabrication facility could meet many local needs.

Before joining Tessolve, Chirugudu also held leadership roles at Altran and Wipro, where he managed large business portfolios. Having started his career at ISRO, he also worked on research in CCD development and satellite payloads.

Over time, he contributed to the launch of more than 1,000 products across sectors, including high-tech and manufacturing.
