AI and data science solutions company Tredence has acquired KMK Consulting, a specialist analytics and consulting firm focused on the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector, to accelerate growth in healthcare and life sciences sectors.
Headquartered in Morris Plains, New Jersey, KMK Consulting works with eight of the world's top 10 pharmaceutical companies and brings more than two decades of expertise in commercial analytics, real-world evidence, and market research.
Tredence said the acquisition aims to strengthen its position in the rapidly growing healthcare and life sciences market, which it expects to contribute about 25% of its overall revenue over the medium term.
The deal combines KMK's pharmaceutical and life sciences expertise with Tredence's agentic AI, data engineering, and decision intelligence capabilities. The company said the combined offering will help life sciences customers accelerate AI adoption across research, development and commercialisation functions.
According to Tredence, the acquisition will position the company as an AI partner across the pharmaceutical value chain. It’ll also strengthen Tredence's presence within the Veeva ecosystem. The company noted that Veeva's cloud-based CRM and data platforms are used by roughly 60–70% of pharmaceutical companies worldwide for commercial operations, medical engagement, and incentive compensation.
"While Tredence has consistently operated at the leading edge of AI and data science, our true differentiator has always been deep domain expertise," said Shub Bhowmick, Co-founder and CEO of Tredence. "The acquisition of KMK reinforces this philosophy, bringing unparalleled strength in pharmaceuticals and life sciences."
Michael Karbachinskiy, Founder and CEO of KMK Consulting, said the partnership would allow the firm to combine its life sciences expertise with Tredence's AI and data science capabilities to deliver greater value to clients.
Prashant Sareen, Global Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Tredence, said KMK's domain expertise would help the company expand its offerings for global pharmaceutical customers across R&D, supply chain, and AI deployment initiatives.
