The humanoid opened the gathering by greeting attendees in 11 languages, including Bengali. The robot was seen saying “Swagatam” while waving—a gesture that drew attention for its multilingual and culturally adaptive capabilities.

The robot, designed to autonomously perform household tasks such as cleaning, laundry and dishwashing, was showcased as an example of how AI-driven systems are increasingly entering everyday life and human environments.

In her address, Melania highlighted the transformative potential of AI in classrooms, urging governments and educators to adopt such technologies. She emphasised that the integration of AI in education must prioritise student safety, data privacy and responsible use.

The event brought together leaders from over 40 countries, including France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron, with discussions centred on expanding access to digital learning tools and ensuring safer online environments for children. The summit featured AI-powered humanoid robots and brought together leaders from 45 nations and 28 technology firms, including OpenAI and Microsoft.

The summit also stressed the need to foster global cooperation to ensure equitable access to AI-powered tools and prepare younger generations for a technology-driven future.
