Moving Tech Innovations (MTI), the company behind open mobility platforms such as Namma Yatri, Yatri Saathi, Bharat Taxi and Chennai One, has acquired Netherlands-based Automicle Holding BV. The move marks MTI’s entry into Europe, extending its zero-commission, community-led mobility model internationally.
MTI Co-Founders Magizhan and Shan MS said, “When we built Namma Yatri, we put cities and their people first. We proved that zero-commission models work, that drivers deserve dignity and better earnings, and that public transport can be seamlessly integrated. With Automicle, we are taking those learnings beyond India. These are not local solutions; they are universal principles.”
Meanwhile, Jef Heyse and Mohit Mishra, Co-Founders of Automicle, stated, “We have worked with European cities for a long time to modernise mobility… What MTI has built at scale proves that city-first models work. Together, we can help European cities move faster toward open mobility that truly serves people, while bringing European expertise in parking and integrated urban mobility to Indian cities as well.”
MTI has already completed over 150 million trips in India, enabling more than ₹2,500 crore in driver earnings without commissions. Automicle, founded with decades of European experience, has developed public mobility and digital parking solutions rooted in local partnerships. Both companies share a commitment to open protocols such as the Beckn Protocol and TOMP API standards.
The acquisition reflects growing alignment between India and the European Union in digital public infrastructure and sustainable urban mobility. As India–EU Free Trade Agreement discussions gain momentum, MTI and Automicle aim to offer a credible alternative built on openness, partnership and long-term value creation.
