Venttup has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures to scale production for deep-tech companies and OEMs.

The company plans to invest in precision manufacturing, rapid prototyping and AI-driven sourcing as it builds a more integrated pathway from engineering development and component validation to scalable production. Since its seed funding round in 2024, Venttup has grown its revenue fivefold to ₹10 crore in FY2025–26 and built a business opportunity pipeline worth approximately ₹30 crore.

“India’s next phase of manufacturing growth requires strong engineering capabilities that can translate complex requirements into validated, production-ready components. At Venttup, we are building an engineering-first manufacturing company that brings together design standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing and scalable production through India’s capable MSME ecosystem,” said Sandeep Nair, Co-founder and CEO of Venttup.

The funding will support the expansion of Venttup’s engineering team and the adoption of AI to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and operational efficiency. The company also plans to strengthen its precision manufacturing and rapid prototyping infrastructure.

Venttup is setting up a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru to support precision machining, turning and sheet metal production for applications across the energy transition, defence, aerospace and space. The facility is intended to help customers move from component development and validation to production readiness and mass manufacturing.

“Hardware startups often struggle to find reliable partners who can manage the transition from validation to production. At the same time, the push for indigenisation across critical sectors is unlocking a massive wave of industrial demand that simply didn’t exist before,” Abhinav Singh Negi stated, Lead Climate and Deeptech at Rainmatter by Zerodha.

Venttup operates through a manufacturing-as-a-service (MaaS) model, supporting customers from engineering design and specification standardisation through prototyping, testing, validation and contract manufacturing.

The company is expanding across energy transition and data centres, aerospace and defence, smart infrastructure and future mobility, and electronics and automation. Over the past 12 months, it has added more than 15 blue-chip companies to its customer base, with opportunities across new energy, mobility and smart infrastructure.

Founded by Sandeep Nair, M. Wasim Ankli and Joseph Panakkal, Venttup aims to strengthen indigenous manufacturing capabilities and build supply chains for domestic and global markets.
