Vishal Sikka Launches AI Startup Hang Ten Systems, Raises $32 Mn in Seed Funding
By Siddharth Jindal ·

Former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka has launched Hang Ten Systems, an enterprise AI services startup that aims to help large organisations deploy AI in business-critical software and operations.
The Palo Alto-based company has also raised $32 million in seed funding, led by Mayfield with participation from Aramco Ventures and angel investors, to expand its team and scale its work with global enterprises.
The company said the new capital will be used to hire across engineering, delivery, sales, and leadership functions as it expands its enterprise AI services business.
Hang Ten focuses on helping enterprises deploy AI in business-critical software systems. The company says many organisations have struggled to translate AI investments into measurable outcomes, often taking on additional costs and risks without seeing significant benefits.
Hang Ten is targeting software that powers core business operations. The company argues that generative AI is changing how enterprise software is built and maintained, reducing the need for traditional customisation, integration, and testing processes.
Its approach combines agentic code generation, a reusable skills library, and domain expertise in areas including finance, human resources, enterprise transformations, and product development.
The company is already working with customers, including Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Fresenius on AI-driven project delivery initiatives.
“Every single enterprise will be transformed by AI. A few are already reaping massive benefits, building in days what used to take years. But most are stuck at the starting line, or worse, and the gap is widening every day,” Sikka said.
“We are building Hang Ten to close that gap, and help enterprises ride the AI wave. We bring together the rarest combination — frontier AI expertise, decades of building the systems that enterprises actually run on, and the judgment to deliver real value when everything is changing at once.”
Sikka previously served as CEO of Infosys and was a member of SAP’s Executive Board, where he oversaw products and technology.
Mayfield Managing Partner Navin Chaddha said the firm backed Hang Ten because of Sikka’s experience leading large-scale technology organisations.
“Within a few years, the gap between enterprises that use AI to real advantage and those that don’t will define entire industries,” Chaddha said. “Hang Ten is focused on enterprise transformations to put companies on the right side of that line.”
Aramco Ventures CEO Mahdi Aladel said enterprise AI deployment is becoming one of the largest challenges facing businesses.
“Their combination of Frontier AI experience, decades of delivering enterprise solutions at scale, and deep enterprise relationships worldwide is rare, and is what it will take to deliver on the promise of Enterprise AI,” Aladel said.
Vinod Philip, CEO of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, said enterprises are looking for guidance on AI adoption and operational improvement.
“We at SGRE are delighted to work with Hang Ten on several strategic initiatives,” Philip said.
