InfoCepts, in collaboration with MachineHack, successfully completed the 'Infocepts Data Engineering Hiring Hackathon' held from August 27 to September 9 for data engineering and data science professionals. The hackathon saw 500+ participants competing with zeal and presented a variety of solutions.

InfoCepts is one of the world's leading data analytics firms, rated highest by customers for three consecutive years on the Gartner Peer Insights and is recognised as a Great Place to Work®. The company is home to passionate data analytics professionals who enable improved business results for clients across the globe.

E-commerce has disrupted the retail industry in recent years, giving way to evolving digital shopping trends. Whether retailers want to personalise communication, make informed marketing decisions or provide relevant choices to customers, they are turning to data for answers. The goal of the hackathon was to tackle important problems on a deep dataset that captures the online behaviour of eCommerce shoppers.

The participants performed multiple data engineering tasks and transformations to derive metrics to understand the shoppers’ purchasing habits.

Let's look at the hackathon winners who impressed the judges with their analytics skills and got the opportunity to participate in InfoCepts’ annual retreat and connect with the best minds in data and analytics.

    Rank 01

Ayush Patwa, an analyst at Polestar Solutions and Services, Kolkata, secured the first rank. With a degree from Jadhavpur University in chemical engineering, Patwa is a data engineer by profession.
