AIM announces the first edition of Data Engineering Summit, India’s first conference focussing on this emerging field

Analytics India Magazine has recently announced the first edition of the most awaited Data Engineering Summit (DES’22) — a conference dedicated to data engineers.

Data Engineering involves collecting, provisioning and maintaining excellent quality data for insights. For this, data engineers need to design and develop a scalable data architecture, set up processes that pool data from multiple sources, check the data quality, eliminate corrupt data, etc. And therefore, DES, scheduled for 30th April 2022, aims to discuss how organisations can leverage the potential of efficient and product data engineering workflow.

Focused on data engineering innovation, this day-long virtual conference will give attendees direct access to top engineers & innovators from leading tech companies who will talk about the software deployment architecture of ML systems, how to produce the latest data frameworks, frameworks and solutions for business use cases. In addition, the event will host a range of talks, workshops and networking opportunities that would create a unique virtual setting to further the education and advancement of ML data engineering.

Although the summit focuses on data engineers, it is open to all. Developers, data architects, technical leaders, CIOs, CTOs, and analysts worldwide willing to network and participate in the discussions around the rapidly evolving data engineering ecosystem are more than welcome.

The event is expected to host 10,000 participants and 2000+ organisations and feature over 15+ speaker sessions by industry mavens, along with hands-on workshops, hiring hackathons and 1-O-1 mentoring sessions. As a participant, DES’22 will also provide a unique opportunity to network with top data engineers from India & outside.

What to expect from Data Engineering Summit (DES’22) —

DES’22 will feature 15+ speakers holding reputed positions across the data engineering ecosystem, presenting tech talks on real-world implementation of data engineering. These tech talks will broadly focus on real-world business use cases, effective practices, evaluating new projects and exploring various challenges of the data engineering workflow. The summit will also provide hands-on introductory and advanced level workshops by some of the brightest minds in the domain. As a result, data engineers and data science professionals can build their skills and broaden their knowledge of this rapidly evolving field.

The summit will also act as a networking platform for participants to meet some renowned data engineers of the industry along with data scientists, technology leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, academicians, and thought provokers. Post the summit, DES’22 will also provide the participants with exclusive access to the recorded sessions online to enable learning at their own pace.

DES’22 will also host Great Indian Data Engineering Hackathon, organised exclusively for data engineers, in collaboration with MachineHack, a leading hackathon & competitive coding platform for ML developers. Here, while the participants will get a chance to be interviewed by some of the leading companies in the industry, the businesses will have the opportunity to interview some of the top performers of the hackathon — a win-win situation for both.

Additionally, there will be 1-O-1 mentoring sessions by some of the experienced data engineering veterans, sharing their depth of knowledge and expertise with the participants. Attendees can explore technical or career questions with these mentors to accelerate their skills & knowledge on MLOps & data engineering.

Invited keynotes, technical sessions and workshops will cover these focus areas:

  • Machine Learning Operations (MLOps)
  • Experimentation to production
  • Data fabric
  •  Data provenance & governance
  • Building the data stack for operational ML
  • Model calibration
  • Intelligence real-time ML systems

Some of the highlights of the summit are:

  • Tech talks
  • Hands-on Workshop
  • Hiring hackathons
  • Networking opportunities
  • Meeting industry mavens virtually
  • Interaction with speakers, and more
