Founded by Anand Purusothaman, the AppViewX Platform is a modular, low-code software application that enables the automation and orchestration of network infrastructure using an intuitive, context-aware, visual workflow.
Businesses make significant investments in IT infrastructure to achieve excellent customer experiences, which is needed to survive in the digital age. But over the years, the enterprise network has become highly sophisticated. This means that demand for network automation is incredibly high among most enterprises, particularly for easy-to-use products. This is where one company called AppViewX has risen quickly.
If you look at AppViewX, the company provides low-code drag-and-drop automation and intuitive visual tools to automate and orchestrate a majority of the network processes. AppViewX has the unique advantage of being one of the fast-rising startups in network automation, with solutions such as orchestration of application delivery services and certificate lifecycle automation.
The organization is now preparing to expand aggressively in multiple Indian cities, and increase its headcount to more than 600 in the next two years. To understand better, Analytics India Magazine connected with Anand Purusothaman, founder and CTO of AppViewX. Here are the excerpts from the interaction:-
AIM: What is the idea behind AppViewX?
Anand Purusothaman: AppViewX is revolutionizing how NetOps and SecOps teams deliver services to the rest of Enterprise IT. The AppViewX Platform is a hybrid cloud, a low-code application platform that enables the automation and orchestration of network infrastructure. Utilizing a massive library of pre-built tasks and workflows, the AppViewX platform empowers Ops teams to rapidly and efficiently convert business requirements into automation workflows that enhance agility, drive compliance, erase errors, and diminish costs.
AIM: What is the unique value proposition that AppViewX brings for potential customers?
Anand Purusothaman: What makes AppViewX unique is the platform capabilities, as well as the solution set. The platform capabilities include low-code drag and drop automation, closed-loop automated troubleshooting, intuitive visual tools and most importantly, the application-centric view and management of network infrastructure.
Our north star is to make our infrastructure invisible so that application teams can deliver innovation rapidly across multiple cloud providers and on-premise infrastructure. For our customers, this means faster time to market, efficiencies in operations, and high quality and secure infrastructure.
AIM: How do you leverage AI/ML for your product?
Anand Purusothaman: AI/ML is a vital part of doing intelligent automation and orchestration of network and security services. We are leveraging it increasingly to bring in closed-loop intelligence in our platform so our customers’ infrastructure can be highly available, secure and meet end-user SLAs.
AIM: What are the other main components of the tech stack?
Anand Purusothaman: We use open source stack that includes programming languages like Java, Python, Golang, MongoDB, Kubernetes and Docker.
AIM: What is the hiring strategy, and what tech skills are essential for AppViewX?
Anand Purusothaman: AppViewX is headquartered in New York, with its India offices in Coimbatore, Bangalore and Chennai. We are aiming to double our headcount over the next two years, and are looking for full-stack engineers, test automation engineers, data scientists, performance engineers, product managers, network and security specialists to add to our growing team.
AIM: What does the roadmap look like for AppViewX in the coming years?
Anand Purusothaman: With the rapidly expanding customer base that cuts across industry verticals and primarily Fortune 500 customers, we are looking to expand our field presence across significant geographies in the world. We are also accelerating the product to increase the number of solutions that come out of the box to touch use cases across multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
