Fintech company CRED has open-sourced its fourth-generation design system NeoPOP. The UI system, named after the postmodern art movement of the 1980-90s, was created with the goal to create “the next generation of the next beautiful, more affirmative, design system.”
In an interview with Homegrown, design head Harish Sivaramakrishnan said the team envisions CRED as a mall with various offerings ranging from arcades, financial services, and shopping. It is important for the CRED app to have a ‘personality’ and NeoPop-based design makes it happen.
