Google Cloud recently announced that it has appointed Subram Natarajan as the Director of Customer Engineering at Google Cloud India. Subram will be working directly with Andrew Hobby, Director of Custom Engineering (APAC) based in Singapore.
Prior to this role, Subram was leading the technology team of IBM India as the Chief Technology Officer for India. He has more than 30 years of experience and has worked across various disciplines, including product development, technical sales and business development.
“Subram will work closely with our leadership and will work towards bringing Google Cloud’s solutions to its customers and help them succeed in their transformation journey,” said the company in an official statement.
Commenting on his appointment, Subram, on a social media post, said, “I am really excited to begin the next part of my journey with Google Cloud. Looking forward to joining hands with a great team, experience the new work environment and technology, and contribute to the growing business at Google Cloud. In the same breath, I want to thank the numerous leaders, colleagues and friends at IBM. Between Informix and IBM, I have had the privilege of performing multi-variate roles – and along the way, learnt a great deal. A big thanks to all who have been instrumental in my success and growth.”
Google Cloud has hired some of the most talented key industry people in recent months in India. The list includes AWS veteran Bikram Singh Bedi as the Managing Director, Google Cloud India and Bhanumurthy Ballapuram as the Vice President for Customer Experience, JAPAC.
