The fourth batch of the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) programme for the year 2018-2020 at IIM Calcutta bags 60 job offers. The final batch of 56 students achieved a total of 60 offers made by 18 firms.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) is a two-year full-time residential programme offered by the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in collaboration with ISI, Kolkata and IIT-Kharagpur.
Last year, the average remuneration reached 25.05 lakh per annum. Regardless of the current crisis, this year the figure has reached an average remuneration of Rs 26.31 lakh per annum.
According to sources, an international offer with a remuneration of Rs 41.29 lakh per annum was the maximum salary received by students of this batch. 57 per cent of the total job offers are attracted by the BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) sector.
PGDBA chairperson Professor Sahadeb Sarkar said, “We are delighted at the achievement of our PGDBA students. It is yet another promising programme from IIM Calcutta and partner institutions ISI and IIT Kharagpur that continues to deliver excellent value to the students and the recruiters.”
Some of the distinguished organisations that took part in the final placement programme are ICICI Bank, Envestnet Yodlee, Alshaya Group, ZS Associates, Adani, UGRO Capital and others.
