Arpit Bhayani

Arpit Bhayani is a software engineer, entrepreneur, educator, and creator known for his deep work in distributed systems, databases, and large-scale backend architecture. With more than a decade of experience in building and scaling high-performance systems, he is currently the Principal Engineer at Razorpay, leading a team to build Agent Studio that enables Razorpay’s merchants to create custom agents that integrate its APIs and external connectors. 

He has also held engineering leadership roles at companies such as Google, Amazon, and Unacademy. 

At Unacademy, he served as Director of Engineering. At Google, he worked as a Staff Engineer on GCP Memorystore and Dataproc, focusing on infrastructure, data systems, and cloud scalability. Earlier, he contributed to Amazon's Fast Data team, where he worked on storage systems and data infrastructure.

Arpit is also the creator of DiceDB, an open-source reactive in-memory database designed for modern workloads. Beyond engineering, he is widely recognised for simplifying complex computer science concepts through technical writing, videos, newsletters, and online courses, followed by a large global engineering community. 

His work spans system design, distributed computing, databases, and engineering leadership. In 2024, he co-founded Profile.fyi, which was later acquired by Mercor. Through his content and educational initiatives, Arpit continues to inspire engineers to think deeply about software architecture, performance, and first-principles problem solving.
