Murali Krishna

Murali Krishna leads Providence’s healthcare global innovation centre in Hyderabad, India, building information services, products, and solutions to enable Providence’s vision of health for a better world. The centre’s innovative engineering capabilities help accelerate digital transformation in healthcare, improve patient and caregiver experiences and deliver digitally enhanced outcomes. 

Recognised by media and industry as one of the top GCC leaders in India, Murali brings more than 25 years of rich engineering and business acumen from strong executive leadership roles at Microsoft and GE, where he led business and digital transformation, and technology integration efforts to fruition. He is one of the early leaders who played a pivotal role in GE’s information technology setup in India. 

Murali is passionate about going beyond care to improve communities around us. He drives gender diversity in the workplace as a strategic business priority and is a strong advocate for mental health and well-being. An inclusive leader, he was the D&I champion and executive sponsor at both Microsoft and GE. 

Murali is Vice Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM India), the apex chamber of U.S. industry in India. He is also on the executive committee of the Society for Cyberabad Security Council, a not-for-profit association that works with the Telangana state police department for the safety of Hyderabad’s IT corridor. 

Murali has received several awards at Microsoft and GE, including the Leadership Award for IT Excellence, the Business CIO Award for Leadership, Excellence & Lasting Contribution, and the President’s Award for community service. He has an Executive MBA from the Indian School of Business and is an associate alumnus of Harvard Medical School.
