Indian conglomerate Muthoot Group is the latest company to adopt chatbot represented by the company’s famous logo — elephant mascot. The company announced the launch of its chatbot platform — MATTU & MITTU which stands for Muthoot Advanced Technology Transformation Unit (MATTU) and Muthoot Intelligent Technology Transformation Utility (MITTU) is essentially an AI-driven virtual assistant which will act as 24/7 customer support and respond to queries to all its family of products, including gold loan, insurance, money transfer, Forex, Mutual Funds, Home loan. The AI-powered bot will also act as a financial advisor, and give more information related to the company’s flagship product, which is the Gold Loans.

According to Alexander George Muthoot, Deputy Managing Director, embracing chatbot is a big step towards digital transformation and will improve the customr experience by fulfilling the customer’s financial needs instantly. He also revealed that the chatbot – MATTU & MITTU is another addition to their already existing technologically advanced systems like Core Banking Solution (CBS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and iMuthoot Mobile App.
