Amidst the fearful situation of Coronavirus in the air, every industry has been affected severely and is going through a period of full lockdown. With exam season knocking the door, students from schools and colleges are worried since the lockdown that is hampering their studies. In a situation like this, TCS has taken a significant step to ensure that education does not stop and students can continue to learn through this unprecedented period.
The TCS iON Digital Glass Room is an online educational platform which is available on mobile as well as web for schools and colleges, that empowers educators to engage with students in real-time. Faculty members can seamlessly bring a transition to a virtual teaching environment in a matter of few hours and make an institute go live as the platform provides an embedded live classroom, which simulates live classroom teaching. The platforms also allow a faculty member to share lessons, videos, worksheets, assignments and assessments. The platform also consists of interactive methods like polls, debates, quizzes, surveys and other tools to make the educational experience sublime. The platform further allows students to access class wise and subject wise communities, along with letting the faculty members monitor learners progress.
Kholkar, in his post, stated that the TCS iON Digital Glass Room is available to educational institutes of all types, irrespective of the medium of instruction, Board/university affiliation, or size. Any school and higher educational institution can register on the platform by clicking on the link.
