The Rising 2020: AIM Announces 2nd Edition Of India’s Largest Gathering Of Women Data Scientists

For the second year in a row, Analytics India Magazine is announcing the biggest meeting of women data science leaders in India at the upcoming event The Rising 2020. The one day conference will be hosted by AIM to promote and celebrate women innovators in data science, analytics and AI fields and celebrate this industry’s powerful trailblazers.

The conference, which is to be held on 20 March 2020 in Bengaluru, will serve as a forum for exchanging ideas to build a better platform for women in technology. The event will also see women from STEM backgrounds coming together and celebrating their achievements and career interests in data science.

The one-day event will see over 250+ participants and will feature more than 15+ talks from industry leaders. The conference will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions and informal sessions designed to inspire more women participation in the STEM field, and also help attendees grow in their analytics careers.

The conference will provide a platform for leading women visionaries to dive into the field of data science and share their perspective on how to build a career in this buzzing field and their role in data science. Through a series of talks and informal sessions, this one-day conference will empower women and help them in the development of leadership skills.

Bhaskar Gupta, co-founder and CEO at Analytics India Magazine spoke about the importance of this conference. “The Rising 2020 is back in a bigger and better avatar. In fact, this is the largest group of women technologists in India and the conference is aimed at inspiring the next generation of women leaders in analytics. In a world that increasingly becoming skewed and myopic, it is crucial to recognise and celebrate the role played by women in technology. As the industry evolves, we need to establish ways to recognise their groundbreaking contributions and innovations in the field of data science, analytics and AI. The conference is also aimed at inspiring more and more women to pursue a career in STEM and urge companies and corporate partners to build a culture of equality and diversity.”

Participants will also get a chance to meet more than 100 leading companies that are working to build a more tech-inclusive industry for women in technology. Conference attendees will get a chance to interact with enterprises who are actively hiring, and get a glimpse into their work culture.

Here’s what you can expect from the conference:

Networking: According to a study by HBR, 78% of the women opined that the women-centric conferences made them feel more optimistic about the future and made them feel connected to others. As professional development is a big part of the learning journey, The Rising 2020 has been designed to help women in tech connect with top companies that value inclusion and are also hosting returnee programmes.

Keynotes: Participants can learn from immersive sessions where women technologists and team leaders will speak on how they build a career in data analytics and artificial intelligence. The attendees will also get a glimpse into how these powerful and successful women are managing a work-life balance.

Panel discussions: Attendees can learn how to grow in their tech careers and advance from traditional software engineering roles to job titles around data science, analytics, AI and machine learning. Participants can learn from women thought leaders who will share their career transition and experiences with the attendees. In addition to this, there will also be talks on how to balance resources, understand customer demands and ace project management.
