Tredence hosted the third edition of its AI Foundry in Hyderabad on May 23, bringing together around 100 professionals and developers to build production-ready AI solutions.

The event, held in partnership with AIM Media House at Tredence’s office in Hyderabad, moved away from the conventional conference format of keynotes and product showcases. Instead, attendees were divided into pods to collaboratively tackle real-world challenges in enterprise AI deployment.

Hyderabad Emerging as an AI Hub

The choice of Hyderabad as the venue also aligned with Tredence’s growing investment in the city. Earlier this year, the company announced a significant expansion of its Hyderabad operations, including a new 20,000 square-foot delivery and innovation centre to strengthen its AI and data science capabilities.

Tredence said Hyderabad’s growing AI ecosystem, strong GCC presence, and deep talent pool make it an important hub for the company’s long-term AI ambitions. The company plans to significantly increase hiring in the region over the next two years as it expands work across healthcare, life sciences, retail, and consumer sectors.

“AI Foundry is Tredence’s flagship event, not just to make an impact on the AI ecosystem, but to give a platform to budding deep tech and AI engineers to be part of real-world problems,” said Abhijay Datta, Vice President, Tredence. “As AI becomes enterprise-scale, we need engineers to come out of the labs to solve real-world problems.”

Datta says that Tredence has entered Hyderabad with a strategic intention. Hyderabad stands out for its concentration of GCCs across pharma, life sciences, BFSI, and deep tech. Tredence intends to scale the AI capabilities of its GCCs in the city.

“AI Foundry is not about experiments. It is for a production-grade system for enterprises. We need to have lots of people come together in India, and Hyderabad is playing a major role,” said Jitendra Chakravarthy Putcha, Chief Operating Officer, Tredence.

Beyond Theory and Demos

The highlight was a hands-on workshop anchored by Soumendra Mohanty, Chief Strategy Officer at Tredence, and co-piloted by Ashish Jain, Delivery Head at Tredence.

Teams worked through real-world generative and agentic AI use cases using RAPID, Tredence’s Agentic Business Process Modernisation solution.

Srikanth Srinivasan, Vice President and Head of Membership and Outreach at Nasscom, also attended the AI Foundry. He interacted with each team, listened to their problem statements, and engaged with their ideas before joining Putcha for a fireside chat that wrapped up the day on a high note.

Previous editions of the AI Foundry in Bengaluru and Chennai had already established the format as a community-driven engineering event. The Hyderabad edition expanded on that model by bringing together a larger and more diverse group of AI builders working on production challenges across industries.

Participants also received opportunities to network with peers facing similar deployment and infrastructure challenges in enterprise AI. Several attendees described the event as a valuable learning experience focused on collaborative building rather than passive listening.

“What I enjoyed most was seeing young professionals and builders actively thinking about where AI systems are headed and how India can participate meaningfully in that transformation,” said Dheeraj Neppalli, Founder of Cognidots Solutions, who was one of the attendees.

The energy in the room in Hyderabad showed that India’s AI builders are moving beyond experimentation and thinking seriously about real-world deployment. As companies invest more in generative and agentic AI, the focus is shifting towards building systems that are scalable, reliable, and ready for enterprise use.
