Evergent Technologies, a California-based software company, on Tuesday launched a new global value centre (GVC) in Hyderabad, strengthening the city’s role as a global hub for technology and innovation.

The GVC will serve as Evergent’s main centre for product development and innovation. The company already employs over 600 engineers and AI professionals in Hyderabad and plans to grow its team to more than 1,000 by the end of 2025.

“Telangana is ready to contribute $1 trillion to India’s economy over the next decade. To achieve this, we must shift from volume-led to value-led growth, by building strengths in high-impact areas like AI, semiconductors, defence, and deep-tech,” IT and electronics minister Duddila Sridhar Babu said at the event.

Evergent, which builds software that helps media and telecom companies manage and earn revenue from subscribers, supports global clients including the NBA, Sky, DirecTV, and SonyLIV. The company’s platform, built entirely in India, has helped onboard over 920 million subscribers in more than 180 countries.

“Although our headquarters are in Sunnyvale, California, Hyderabad is central to our success,” Vijay Sajja, founder & CEO of Evergent Technologies, said.

“We’ve combined the best of Silicon Valley and India to build mission-critical, AI-driven SaaS solutions that power monetisation for global media giants. Hyderabad’s exceptional engineering talent is at the core of our innovation.”Evergent’s platform also includes payment systems that help businesses manage pricing, bundle digital services, and handle transactions worldwide.
