He also asked the users of the professional blogging platform to make a contribution at Give India.

Gupta posted, “As India battles a terrifying and debilitating surge of the COVID-19 pandemic, as one of the worst-hit countries in the world, the LinkedIn community and the health and safety of your families are in my thoughts. I hope you are prioritizing your well-being and your families’ needs at this time, and that you continue to lean into your community for support and help.”

“Additionally, as LinkedIn, we are also joining hands with Give India to raise funds for critical medical supplies, and for those who are able to, you can also make a contribution here: https://lnkd.in/dhj_vUv, Gupta added.

The fundraising platform stated, “At the onset of the pandemic last year, when hospitals were facing a dire need for protective gear and equipment, we at GiveIndia had responded in record time to stand strong beside our saviours, our healthcare heroes. And we were able to fill the gap by raising ₹28+ lakhs through this mission and helped those who were risking their lives to save ours.”

With the increasing burden of COVID positive patients, this year, Give India has set a goal of ₹20 Crore funding and till now the platform has collected ₹8 crores.

The Country Manager at LinkedIn also mentioned that over the coming days, the company is working towards making effective changes to the platform to help the members stay updated with trusted news and information at this time.

Besides this, LinkedIn has already taken some initiatives such as providing COVID-19 resources, help in navigating the information on how the coronavirus is impacting the world of work, exploring volunteering opportunities, among others.
