Adani Group and US-based manufacturing services company Jabil have announced plans to form an alliance to establish an AI and data centre infrastructure manufacturing platform in India, targeting both domestic and global demand for AI-ready hardware.
The proposed platform will focus on manufacturing high-density AI racks, servers, storage systems, networking equipment, power distribution units (PDUs), coolant distribution units (CDUs), transformers, switchgears, bus bars and thermal management systems.
The companies said they intend to build multi-gigawatt AI rack manufacturing capacity in India to serve hyperscalers, colocation operators and enterprise data centre customers.
The announcement comes as demand for AI infrastructure continues to rise globally and India seeks to expand domestic manufacturing capabilities for data centre hardware.
“The world is entering an Intelligence Revolution more profound than any previous Industrial Revolution. Nations that master the symmetry between energy and compute will shape the next decade,” said Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group.
“Our alliance with Jabil represents a decisive step in building India's complete AI infrastructure stack — from green power generation to world-class hardware manufacturing,” he added.
The companies said they are currently working on operational frameworks and formal agreements for the alliance. They estimate the initiative addresses a global market opportunity exceeding $3 trillion over the next seven years, driven by investments in AI computing infrastructure.
The platform will combine Jabil's manufacturing and engineering capabilities with Adani Group’s infrastructure, energy, logistics and data centre operations.
According to the companies, the alliance is expected to manufacture both “white space” computing equipment and “grey space” infrastructure components used in data centres, offering an end-to-end hardware ecosystem for infrastructure developers.
India’s data centre market is projected to reach between 5 GW and 8 GW of capacity by 2030, supported by growth in AI workloads, cloud adoption and data localisation requirements, the companies said. They also cited more than $50 billion in planned investments by hyperscalers across India's data centre, cloud and AI ecosystem.
The alliance aligns with Adani Group’s previously announced plan to invest $100 billion toward building 5 GW of green-energy-powered, AI-ready data centre capacity by 2035.
Jabil, which reported revenue of $29.8 billion in fiscal 2025, has expanded its data centre infrastructure capabilities through acquisitions, including Hanley Energy Group and Mikros Technologies.
“This strategic collaboration with Adani Group is another step forward in our efforts to create long-term value for customers throughout the AI ecosystem by offering scalable solutions across the product lifecycle,” said Mike Dastoor, Chief Executive Officer of Jabil.
“By combining Jabil’s more than sixty years of engineering expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities with Adani's infrastructure and energy platform, we can expect to execute down to the rack level for hyperscalers and enterprises here in India and across the globe,” he added.
The companies said the initiative is expected to support domestic manufacturing, create engineering jobs and position India as an export hub for AI and data centre hardware.
