Agora, a leading Real-Time Engagement Platform-as-a-Service (RTE-PaaS) provider, has integrated text-to-speech technology from Murf AI into its conversational AI engine, aiming to help developers and enterprises build more natural and responsive real-time voice agents at scale.
The partnership comes as businesses increasingly adopt conversational AI across customer service, virtual assistants, and voice-driven applications, where speed and natural-sounding interactions have become critical requirements.
With the new integration, developers using Agora’s platform will be able to access Murf AI’s voice-generation technology directly, enabling faster audio responses and more natural speech delivery for applications such as contact centre automation, virtual assistants, and multilingual customer engagement.
Agora’s conversational AI engine connects speech recognition, language models, and voice generation tools through its global real-time network, allowing companies to combine different AI providers while maintaining consistent performance during live conversations, the company said.
It noted that the addition of Murf AI will expand the platform’s voice capabilities by offering customisable and multilingual voices designed for real-time interactions.
Unlike traditional systems that rely on pre-recorded audio playback, the integrated platform allows AI-generated speech to be streamed and adjusted dynamically during conversations, enabling voice agents to pause, resume, or respond naturally as discussions evolve.
“By integrating Murf AI into the Conversational AI Engine, we are expanding our ecosystem and giving developers more control over how voice agents sound while ensuring they can be deployed in production environments without compromising latency or quality,” Tony Wang, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Agora, said in a statement.
For Murf AI, the collaboration brings its speech-generation technology into live conversational environments, expanding beyond traditional audio creation use cases.
“Voice plays a critical role in making AI interactions feel natural and engaging,” Ankur Edkie, Co-founder and CEO of Murf AI, added.
The companies said the integration will support enterprise applications, including customer support automation, sales outreach, training systems, and multilingual engagement across web, mobile, and contact centre platforms.
