Apna, an AI-native early-career talent platform, has launched an AI Interview Prep Lounge at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Kaushalya Vikas Kendra in Mumbai. The facility, inaugurated by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, is designed to help job seekers practise interviews, receive real-time AI-driven feedback, and access job opportunities through an integrated preparation ecosystem.
Inaugurating the centre, Goyal said, “The Apna AI-enabled Interview Centre represents the future of skill development and employment generation. By leveraging artificial intelligence to identify opportunities, bridge skill gaps, and prepare candidates for the evolving job market, this initiative will empower our youth to build successful careers and contribute meaningfully to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.”
The new facility features three AI-powered interview preparation kiosks. They are integrated with Apna’s interview preparation platform and will also be part of weekly walk-in hiring drives at ABVKVK, creating a unified journey from preparation to placement for candidates.
Job seekers at the centre can access role-specific mock interviews, receive instant AI-based feedback on their responses, and explore relevant job opportunities across sectors. The AI Interview Prep system supports over 25,000 roles across companies, offers multilingual capabilities, and is available free of cost to candidates visiting the centre.
Speaking on the initiative, Nirmit Parikh, Founder and Group CEO, Apna, said, “As technology reshapes the world of work, access to guidance, preparation, and opportunity must become universal. The AI Interview Prep Lounge reflects our belief that every job seeker should have the tools and support needed to realise their potential.”
He added that for many first-time job seekers, the biggest challenge is not skills acquisition but navigating the interview process. Limited access to coaching and structured preparation often leaves candidates underprepared, and the new lounge is designed to bridge this gap by offering hands-on practice, feedback, and confidence-building support.
Commenting on the launch, Kartik Narayan, CEO, Apna Jobs, said, “Through the AI Interview Prep Lounge, we are giving candidates a practical way to prepare, build confidence, receive feedback, and improve their chances of converting opportunities into jobs.”
The Mumbai facility marks the first phase of Apna’s broader plan to expand AI-powered career preparation infrastructure across skilling institutions, campuses, and workforce development ecosystems, aiming to make job readiness more accessible as technology continues to reshape employment pathways in India.
