Persistent Systems has opened a new Innovation Center in Melbourne, strengthening its presence in the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region and supporting enterprises in adopting artificial intelligence and modern digital technologies.
The company said the Melbourne Innovation Center will act as a strategic hub for AI-driven enterprise transformation, helping businesses modernise legacy systems, build digital product and deploy AI solutions at scale.
The launch is part of Persistent’s broader expansion strategy in the ANZ region, where organisations are increasingly moving from early digital experiments to large-scale adoption of artificial intelligence and cloud technologies.
Australia is emerging as a key market for enterprise technology transformation, with companies across industries investing in AI, cloud infrastructure and digital platforms to improve efficiency and remain competitive.
Persistent already works with several Australian Securities Exchange-listed companies across sectors such as banking, manufacturing and telecommunications. The new centre is expected to strengthen these partnerships by offering local engineering expertise and innovation programmes.
“The Melbourne Innovation Center… reflects our continued investment in the region as a strategic growth market,” said Jaideep Vijay Dhok, Chief Operating Officer–Technology, Persistent.
The centre will support enterprises in areas such as AI-led modernisation, digital product development, platform transformation and data modernisation.
Persistent said the initiative aligns with its broader AI-first strategy, which focuses on improving engineering productivity, preparing enterprises for data-driven decision-making and building responsible AI infrastructure.
Through the new facility, companies will also be able to participate in innovation workshops, ideation sessions and co-creation programmes designed to help them experiment with new technologies and develop digital capabilities.
“Our growth strategy is centred on helping enterprises accelerate transformation through AI-led engineering, platform-driven modernisation and strong data foundations. The centre enhances our ability to work closely with clients through localised expertise and help them adopt AI more effectively,” Dhok noted.
The company added that it will expand engineering and AI capabilities in Australia through targeted hiring, ecosystem partnerships and industry hackathons. By combining innovation programmes, engineering expertise and academic institutions, the Melbourne Innovation Center is expected to play a key role in helping organisations across the ANZ region modernise their digital infrastructure and adopt AI-driven solutions.
