Bellatrix Aerospace, an Indian in-space mobility company, has raised $20 million in a pre-Series B funding round led by Cactus Partners, the company said in a statement. The round includes participation from Hero Enterprise Investment Office, 35North Ventures, Indusbridge Ventures, and Monarch Holdings, as well as existing investors such as Inflexor Ventures, Pavestone, growX, StartupXseed, and Survam Partners.
“This funding is a definitive signal of confidence in our operational scalability,” Rohan M Ganapathy, Co-Founder and CEO, said. “We are now focused on building a repeatable, reliable, and world-class production propulsion system.”
The company will use the capital to expand its manufacturing facilities, set up high-throughput production lines, and strengthen its global supply chain. The move aims to meet demand from satellite constellations in domestic and international markets while supporting ongoing customer programmes.
Co-Founder and COO Yashas Karanam said the company has reduced lead times to under six months and improved unit economics. “This investment ensures we can fulfil our multi-million-dollar backlog with the speed and margin required for global scale,” he said.
Bellatrix said the funding marks a shift from flight-qualified technologies to commercial-scale manufacturing. The company plans to increase annual production capacity and improve delivery timelines as it builds a repeatable propulsion production system.
Bellatrix expects further growth through customer deployments and additional commercial milestones in the coming months as it expands its role in the global space economy.
Cactus Partners said it will support Bellatrix through its Growth Acceleration Playbook framework and collaborate with other investors to scale the business globally. “Bellatrix is a unique asset with a robust history of space technology innovation,” Amit Sharma, General Partner at Cactus Partners, said.
