Bengaluru-based voice AI startup Gnani.ai has announced a $10 million Series B funding round led by Aavishkaar Capital, an impact-focused fund manager. The round also saw participation from existing investor Info Edge Ventures.

According to the statement, this funding will accelerate Gnani.ai’s global expansion, advance its agentic AI capabilities, expand its multilingual and industry-specific solutions, and strengthen its engineering and product talent base. This is slated to position the company to capture a significant share of the rapidly growing worldwide enterprise voice AI market.

Co-Founders Ganesh Gopalan and Ananth Nagaraj said in a statement, “At Gnani, our mission has always been to make customer engagement more human, more secure, and more scalable through voice-first AI. Partnering with Aavishkaar Capital is a powerful validation of that vision. Their investment will help us deepen our generative AI capabilities and accelerate our global expansion.”

Recently, Gnani.ai launched Inya VoiceOS, India's first 5-billion-parameter voice-to-voice foundational AI model, at the AI Impact Summit 2026. This model, released as a research preview before the upcoming 14-billion-parameter version, enables complete spoken intelligence by bypassing separate speech-to-text and text-to-speech processes.

The startup has also introduced Vachana STT, an enterprise-grade Indic speech recognition model trained on over one million hours of voice data from 1,056 domains, and Vachana TTS, which offers human-like speech and zero-shot voice cloning across 12 Indic languages.

Shilpa Maheshwari, Managing Director, Aavishkaar Group, said, “Deep-tech is no longer a niche; it is becoming central to solving the defining challenges of our time: agricultural resilience, financial inclusion, climate adaptation, and equitable access to services.”

She added that the startup exemplifies the qualities the investment firm seeks, i.e., a platform built with authentic technical depth, demonstrated success at scale, and a clear pathway to making a meaningful impact across diverse communities.

Gnani.ai, backed by Info Edge Ventures, automates complex customer interactions, driving increased revenue, reduced costs, improved service quality, and greater access for underserved communities.
