The Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) has partnered with Salesforce to deploy MuleSoft as the technology backbone of Digital Dwaar, the state's API-based data exchange platform designed to enable data sharing across government departments.

Digital Dwaar serves as a centralised platform where government departments can publish and consume data services through a single API framework.

According to CHiPS, the system replaces manual data coordination processes that previously took days or weeks with API-based access to information. The implementation was carried out by Salesforce consulting partner Watsoo.

Arundhati Bhattacharya, President and CEO of Salesforce South Asia, said state governments are making infrastructure decisions that will influence public service delivery for years.  “Our partnership with Chhattisgarh highlights this transformation, and we are committed to helping India develop the digital and AI foundations required for population-scale impact,” she said.

The platform is intended to address challenges arising from fragmented government systems and manual data exchange processes. CHiPS said the API-led integration strategy provides centralised visibility and control over data flows while enabling real-time data availability, standardised integration frameworks, and monitoring capabilities across departments.

The agency said the deployment has reduced manual data exchange processes and integration timelines while improving service delivery and decision-making through faster access to data. It added that centralised monitoring has strengthened data security and compliance.

“Digital Dwaar represents a foundational shift in how we think about data and service delivery,” said Shri Prabhat Malik, IAS, CEO of CHiPS. “With MuleSoft, we’ve moved from isolated systems to a connected ecosystem where data flows securely, instantly, and at scale across all departments.”

Malik said the platform would serve as the foundation for future digital governance initiatives in the state and support the next phase of citizen service delivery.

CHiPS plans to expand API integrations across state departments and applications, strengthen governance and security frameworks, and use the platform’s data layer for analytics and policy insights. The roadmap also includes support for AI-enabled public services.
