Cognyte, an investigative analytics company, plans to expand its research and development operations in Pune as it looks to build more AI-driven technologies for law enforcement and security agencies.
The company intends to scale its India hub over the next 12 months and add new roles across engineering, AI, machine learning, data analytics, and software development.
The expansion comes as Cognyte responds to growing global demand for investigative analytics tools that help governments and security agencies process large volumes of data and generate intelligence. The company said Pune will continue to serve as a key global innovation centre supporting its engineering and product development efforts.
“India has emerged as a critical innovation centre for Cognyte,” said Ashutosh Kar, General Manager APAC and Managing Director India at Cognyte, in a statement. “The technical depth, problem-solving mindset and calibre of talent here are directly shaping our most advanced analytics platforms.”
The company aims to strengthen its local capabilities in software-led innovation while supporting customers across global markets.
The Pune centre will focus on engineering work related to large-scale data processing, AI-based analysis, and investigative software for operational environments. These platforms are designed to help agencies turn complex and high-volume data into intelligence that supports investigations and decision-making.
Headquartered in Israel, Cognyte develops investigative analytics software for law enforcement, intelligence and national security agencies. The company said the India expansion aligns with its wider strategy of growing global R&D centres and bringing together engineering talent across markets.
