Firstsource Solutions has launched ‘Intelligence That Operates’, a full-stack, agent-first operating model aimed at designing, building and running AI-powered enterprise operations with accountability tied directly to outcomes.
The model marks an evolution of the company’s UnBPO platform and seeks to address what it describes as a widening gap between AI capabilities and actual business outcomes.
While enterprises have increased investments in AI, many deployments remain stuck at pilot stages or fail to translate into measurable impact, the company said in a statement.
Firstsource said the challenge lies less in the technology and more in how enterprises deploy it, pointing to fragmented operating structures involving multiple vendors and limited accountability across design, implementation and operations.
“UnBPO was never about tearing something down. It was about seeing clearly what was coming. It forced us to ask what this industry becomes when intelligence, not labour, is the primary input,“ said Ritesh Idnani, CEO and Managing Director of Firstsource.
“Today, we are defining that for ourselves. We’re a full-stack partner to our clients. We design the operating model, build the intelligence layer, and run it in production with our name on the outcome. That is what Intelligence That Operates means. If we can't underwrite the result, we haven't earned the right to operate it.”
The company said the new model integrates transformation, implementation and operations into a single engagement, positioning itself as the sole accountable partner across the lifecycle. It is built on five principles: domain intelligence, full-stack delivery, compounding intelligence, outcome accountability and governed autonomy.
“The question every enterprise leader should be asking right now is not which AI vendor to pilot next,” Idnani added. “It is: who will own the outcome when the intelligence doesn't perform? Our answer is: we will. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and the standard we believe this entire industry must be held to.”
Firstsource said the model is underpinned by its domain expertise, with AI systems designed to continuously learn from structured decision data generated during operations, thereby improving performance over time.
Meanwhile, Phil Fersht, CEO and Chief Analyst at HFS Research, said the model signals a move toward unified delivery. “Firstsource is taking a decisive step toward what the services market has been struggling to operationalise, moving from AI experimentation to accountable execution.”
Dennis Stetzel, SVP & Head of Operations at ETS, said the model aligns with the needs of regulated industries. “They are embedded in our operations, accountable for how the work actually performs. Intelligence That Operates reflects how we have experienced this partnership.”
