Firstsource Solutions Limited has announced the launch of Kairos, an operating system it says is designed to convert artificial intelligence from promise to production by embedding it directly into enterprise workflows.
Positioned as an “embedded intelligence engine”, Kairos is built to design, deploy and run agentic workflows across the full lifecycle of enterprise transformation—from strategy to execution—without the fragmentation typically seen in AI adoption.
The launch comes against a widening divide in enterprise AI outcomes. According to the company, a 540-basis-point gap has emerged in operational performance between organisations successfully deploying AI and those still struggling to derive value. The issue, it argues, is less about access to technology and more about the failure to redesign underlying operating models.
“‘Intelligence That Operates’ was the commitment. Kairos is the execution. Organisations today don’t face a shortage of AI ambition—they face a surplus of it. And yet, the gap between what AI can do and what enterprises actually get in production keeps widening. The barrier has never been technology. It is the operating model,” said Ritesh Idnani, CEO and Managing Director of Firstsource.
“Kairos was built to close that gap—not as a layer added on top of existing operations but integrated within them—running agentic workflows from end to end, accountable for what comes out the other side. And we ran it on ourselves before we brought it to market, because if it couldn't perform inside Firstsource operations, it had no right to perform inside anyone else’s,” he added.
The company said Kairos is already in use across client engagements in healthcare and financial services. In one large US health system, it delivered a 66% productivity gain and automated 80% of denials triage in the revenue cycle management. In financial services, it enabled 25% cost savings and accelerated customer onboarding by 83% through reimagined KYC and AML processes for a UK-based fintech.
Unlike traditional AI deployments that rely on multiple vendors and handoffs, Kairos is structured as a unified operating model. Firstsource said it embeds cross-functional teams—including strategy, process, engineering and technology specialists—directly within client environments. These teams design, build and run AI systems in production, with commercial terms tied to measurable business outcomes.
The platform also draws on proprietary, domain-specific AI systems developed over 25 years across sectors such as healthcare, banking and financial services, telecommunications, retail and utilities. Moreover, it integrates an ecosystem of over 50 partners, including hyperscalers and enterprise platforms, within a single orchestration layer.
