Google has upgraded its AI Pro subscription plan, more than doubling its cloud storage offering from 2TB to 5TB at no additional cost, as the company sharpens its push into AI-led productivity tools.
In a post on X, Shimrit Ben‑Yair, Vice President and General Manager of Google Photos and Google One, said the expansion is aimed at helping users manage growing volumes of AI-generated content and personal data.
“We know your memories and projects need space to grow,” Ben-Yair said, adding that the upgrade will give users “extra room to create more with Google AI.”

The additional 3TB of storage will be available across core services such as Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos, without increasing the subscription price, which remains around ₹1,950 per month in India.
Beyond storage, Google is also expanding the capabilities of its AI ecosystem, particularly its Gemini assistant. The company is integrating Gemini more deeply across Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, and Slides, enabling it to pull context from files, emails, and the web to generate insights and assist with tasks.
Additional features include enhanced AI-powered workflows in Chrome and new capabilities that allow users to extract and summarise information from their inboxes, though some are currently limited to select markets.
AI Inbox simplifies email management by providing clear, AI-created summaries that reduce clutter. It highlights essential tasks, reminders, and updates that need the user’s attention.
Moreover, AI Inbox will incorporate AI Overview, enabling users to obtain a broad overview of their inbox activities and priorities. It also includes advanced proofreading features that offer improved suggestions for grammar, tone, and style right within the email writing process.
“We’ve also introduced Chrome auto browse for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US. This is a powerful agentic experience that handles those tedious, multi-step chores—like planning a trip or filling out forms—so you can get back to what matters,” Ben-Yair added.
