Investment platform Groww unveiled a suite of AI-powered features across trading, fixed income, and wealth management services at its inaugural “Groww Next 2026” product showcase, signalling its push to become a full-stack financial platform built on what it calls “responsible intelligence.”
At the centre of the announcements is GR-1, an AI investing assistant currently in beta. Designed as an opt-in feature, GR-1 analyses market movements, tracks news sentiment, and offers personalised insights based on a user’s portfolio. However, it does not execute trades automatically, and users must explicitly approve any action.
“The system has been built with multiple AI guardrails, including consent layers and execution controls, reinforcing Groww’s emphasis on responsible AI deployment,” Neeraj Singh, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Groww, said in a statement.
Groww also expanded Groww Prime, its optional offering aimed at mutual fund investors. The service now includes advanced portfolio health checks, SIP monitoring tools, and intelligent nudges intended to encourage better long-term investing behaviour. Users can choose between a fully self-directed experience or assisted intelligence.
In a move to widen access to bonds for people on a fixed income, the company announced that retail investors can now buy and sell bonds on the secondary market through curated listings backed by internal risk evaluation frameworks. Bonds have traditionally been dominated by banks and high-net-worth investors.
For active traders, Groww introduced a dedicated high-frequency trading mode and a specialised physical keyboard for faster execution. It also highlighted infrastructure upgrades focused on latency reduction and platform stability during volatile market conditions. In the high-risk derivatives segment, new safeguards such as risk alerts, exposure monitoring, and optional trading locks aim to curb impulsive losses.
A new family account feature allows users to manage investments for spouses, parents, children, trusts or businesses under a single login.
