HCLSoftware and Sify Digital Services have partnered to launch a fully managed sovereign artificial intelligence offering for Indian enterprises. With the collaboration, they aim to enable secure, compliant AI adoption with localised data control.
The collaboration will deliver a unified, full-stack AI ecosystem built on sovereign infrastructure and enterprise software platforms, the companies said in a statement. The offering is designed to ensure data residency within India, localised governance and adherence to regulatory requirements, particularly for industries handling sensitive data.
Under the partnership, Sify will provide the Sovereign AI Foundation, including compliant infrastructure, platform services, foundation models, and solution blueprints, while HCLSoftware will contribute India-owned, enterprise-ready applications designed to consume these AI services across business functions.
The joint solution will be offered as a turnkey, subscription-based “Sovereign AI Foundation + Applications” model. It is positioned as an outcome-oriented managed service to accelerate enterprise AI adoption while maintaining compliance and operational control.
The companies said the collaboration combines Sify’s government-compliant sovereign data centres with HCLSoftware’s application suite to create an integrated AI stack for private enterprises and public sector organisations.
HCLSoftware’s solutions will run on Sify’s infrastructure, with Sify expected to evolve into a primary managed service provider for the combined offering.
The partnership will initially focus on AI-enabled solutions across collaboration, IT operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
They include sovereign collaboration platforms powered by HCL Domino, providing advanced communication tools enhanced with embedded Sovereign AI.
The partnership also spans intelligent infrastructure operations by leveraging HCL BigFix for seamless unified endpoint management, asset management, and ITSM, bolstered by agentic AI workflows and runbook automation.
There’s also a focus on application security by utilising HCL AppScan to identify vulnerabilities early in the lifecycle, using AI for auto-code fixes, and implementing best coding practices.
The partnership will also provide secure access to high-performance AI services and a scalable foundation built for intensive AI workloads.
Future plans include the rollout of the HCL AION platform to help enterprises build, deploy, and manage the full AI lifecycle on Sify’s sovereign AI infrastructure.
“This partnership bridges the gap between India-owned, high-performance AI-infused products operating on Sify’s sovereign infrastructure, delivering a sovereign-complete stack to Indian customers,” said Dhruv Kohli, VP & Country Head – India, HCLSoftware, in a statement.
“With Sovereign-by-Design applications now integrated with Sify’s Sovereign AI Foundation, enterprises can adopt AI through ready-to-use, subscription-based solutions that combine compliance, performance, and operational simplicity,” Aman Mehra, Head of Strategy and Transformation, Sify, said.
The companies said the offering is aimed at regulated sectors, including banking and financial services, healthcare, and government, where data sovereignty and compliance requirements are central to digital transformation initiatives.
