IT services company HCLTech on Tuesday launched an autonomous finance platform built on Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise AI stack, as technology vendors increasingly look to embed agentic AI capabilities into core enterprise functions.
The Noida-headquartered company said the platform is designed to automate finance and accounting operations across areas such as Invoice-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Record-to-Report.
The launch comes at a time when global IT services firms are racing to position themselves as partners in enterprise AI transformation, moving beyond pilot projects and isolated automation use cases.
HCLTech said the platform runs on top of existing ERP and SaaS systems and is designed to reduce manual intervention in finance workflows. The company added that the platform can autonomously execute, learn from and optimise finance operations over time.
“ERP and SaaS platforms digitised finance, but they did not fundamentally change how work gets done,” said Upjit Ghuman, Executive Vice President and Global Head of BPO, HCLTech.
He added that by reducing manual intervention, CFOs and finance teams can focus on judgment-driven, strategic and value-creating work.
He said the platform introduces an “agentic AI fabric” that allows finance processes to operate with a high degree of autonomy, enabling finance teams to focus more on strategic decision-making.
The platform combines Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise AI capabilities and cloud infrastructure with HCLTech’s finance and business process operations expertise.
“Gemini Enterprise and Google’s AI stack are built to handle the complex orchestration required by the world’s largest enterprises,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud. He added that HCLTech’s finance platform built on this foundation combines deep domain understanding with proven engineering excellence.
The launch also reflects a broader trend in the IT services sector, where companies are increasingly packaging AI capabilities into industry-specific platforms instead of offering only traditional consulting and implementation services.
