Kyndryl Launches Cyber Defense Operations Centre in India for Security Operations
By Shalini Mondal ·

Kyndryl has launched its first Cyber Defense Operations Center (CDOC) in Bengaluru, a next-generation command hub that brings network operations and security operations together under a single, integrated operating model.
The new centre is designed to help enterprises strengthen cyber resilience, speed up incident response, and improve end-to-end IT performance as digital environments become more complex and AI-driven.
The launch comes as enterprises grapple with rising IT complexity, AI-enabled cyber risks, and increasing pressure to deliver always-on, secure digital services.
According to the 2025 Kyndryl Readiness Report, only 31% of organisations are prepared for external business risks, with technology complexity cited as a key barrier to scaling AI. The growing use of agentic AI across cloud, data centre, and edge environments has further exposed the limitations of running network and security operations in silos.
Kyndryl is building a catalog of AI agents that work together—often alongside partner technologies—to detect threats, analyse risks, and initiate mitigation automatically, while keeping humans firmly in the loop.
“As AI adoption surges and hybrid IT environments become more distributed, enterprises face faster, more intelligent cyber risks — and a growing shortage of skilled talent to manage them,” Paul Savill, Global Cyber Security and Resiliency, Network and Edge Practice Leader, Kyndryl said in a statement.
“Kyndryl’s Cyber Defense Operations Centre introduces a unified, agile operating model that combines AI-enabled insights with deep networking and security expertise, helping customers strengthen resilience, accelerate incident response, and increase end-to-end visibility across the IT ecosystem.”
The Cyber Defense Operations Centre delivers real-time visibility, unified monitoring, and collaborative analysis across network and security domains. It also offers end-to-end services spanning advisory, design and implementation, and managed operations, enabling enterprises to modernise and run mission-critical IT environments with greater security, efficiency, and uptime.
Key capabilities of the Cyber Defense Operations Centre include AI-enabled assessment services, where the Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework is embedded into network security evaluations to identify operational and security gaps and prioritise remediation through data-driven modernisation roadmaps.
The centre also features role-based dashboards and collaboration tools, with persona-driven views offering tailored, real-time insights for executives, security and network teams, incident commanders, and DevSecOps leaders to improve coordination and decision-making.
In addition, automated, end-to-end operations at scale are enabled through integrated runbooks, security telemetry, playbooks, and rationalised toolsets, reducing manual handoffs and alert fatigue while accelerating detection and response, and supporting Zero Trust architectures.
The Bengaluru centre builds on Kyndryl’s global footprint of security and network operations centres across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
It will be integrated with Kyndryl Bridge, the company’s AI-powered open-integration platform, enabling 24x7 monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and performance management worldwide.
The company’s decision to anchor the CDOC in Bengaluru indicates India’s growing role in global digital resilience.
“India has positioned itself extremely well through government programs, talent development, and sustained investment in AI,” Savill told AIM. “The depth of human capital here makes it a natural choice for global cyber defense operations.
Kyndryl plans to expand the Cyber Defense Operations Centre model beyond India to meet growing global demand and accelerate the adoption of its integrated operating approach.
The new centre also strengthens the company’s broader portfolio of AI-era network and security services, including advanced data centre networking, secure access service edge, and quantum-safe networking solutions.
