Oracle has introduced Fusion Claw, a governed agentic execution runtime that allows its Fusion agentic applications to handle complex, long-running work with greater autonomy.

The company said Fusion Claw combines AI reasoning with deterministic enterprise computation. It is available through 25 new Claw-powered agentic applications covering areas such as finance, workforce planning, supply chain, and sales.

For example, a ledger can analyse accounting entries, investigate exceptions and anomalies, reconcile information, and perform financial calculations.

Meanwhile, Workforce Staffing creates staffing plans based on factors such as skills, availability, schedules, labour rules, costs, and coverage requirements. It can also re-plan when conditions change.

The new applications add to Oracle’s portfolio of 75 agentic applications that can coordinate and execute business processes.

“Fusion Claw helps answer that question by moving from AI assistance to execution, enabling customers to automate increasingly complex work across their most important business processes, with enterprise-grade governance,” Mike Sicilia, CEO, Oracle, said in a statement.

Each Fusion Claw outcome starts with a frontier AI model that can reason, plan, learn, and adapt. Oracle then uses deterministic computation to carry out the required enterprise operations.

This approach allows AI reasoning to be used where it is needed while relying on deterministic computation for high-volume execution, according to Oracle.

The runtime supports longer-running tasks, continuous replanning, and execution at scale. Businesses can also choose the level of automation for a process, from assistance to fully automated execution within delegated authority.

Oracle said Fusion Claw uses an enterprise operating envelope to define the rules under which an AI system can operate. This can include company policies, permissions, risk thresholds, decision rights, approval requirements, and escalation boundaries.

An outcome trust harness applies these controls to each execution, covering identity, capabilities, data, and actions.

After an outcome is completed, an outcome receipt records the authority used, evidence considered, decisions made, actions taken, and the final result.

Oracle said Fusion Claw runs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and uses frontier models including Google’s Gemini and OpenAI models. It has planned support for additional frontier models.

Oracle is also positioning Fusion Claw alongside its AI Agent Studio for Fusion applications, which allows organisations to create and manage agentic applications using Oracle, partner, and external agents.
