Zoom Communications has launched ZoomMate, a new AI-powered workplace assistant designed to help employees turn conversations into completed tasks without switching between multiple applications.
According to Zoom, the AI assistant can search enterprise data, automate workflows, generate presentations and reports and perform actions across platforms such as Salesforce, Jira, Slack, ServiceNow, Google Workspace and Microsoft tools.
“Before, during and after the meeting, ZoomMate connects what was decided to what needs to happen next across every system where your work lives,” Russell Dicker, Chief Product Officer at Zoom, said.
The platform introduces what Zoom calls agentic AI capabilities, allowing the assistant not only to provide information but also to execute tasks.
For example, ZoomMate can schedule meetings, update CRM records, create follow-up tasks, draft customer emails, trigger onboarding workflows and generate project plans directly from meeting discussions.
One of its key features is Agentic Search, which allows employees to search across Zoom and connected enterprise systems. Instead of only finding documents, ZoomMate can surface customer records, support tickets, project updates, meeting discussions and knowledge-base content while respecting organisational access controls.
“The market is moving away from isolated AI helpers and toward tools that can better connect decisions, data, and workflows across an organization,” said Melody Brue, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, said in the press release.
Zoom said the tool can also automatically generate presentations, spreadsheets, reports and other business deliverables from meeting conversations, reducing manual work for employees.
The launch is part of Zoom’s broader vision of creating a “system of action”, where workplace conversations become the starting point for execution rather than ending as meeting notes.
ZoomMate is currently available to customers in North America starting at $20 per user per month, with expansion to additional regions, including Asia-Pacific expected later this year.
