Edtech platform PhysicsWallah has partnered with Microsoft to roll out certification programmes in generative AI, data analytics, and digital marketing, targeting learners in India’s tier-2, 3 cities.
The programmes will be delivered through PW Skills and will integrate tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, GitHub, and Microsoft Office 365. The courses are designed for students, early professionals, and job seekers, with a focus on building job-ready skills aligned with current industry requirements.
Learners completing the programmes will receive joint certification from PhysicsWallah and Microsoft.
Introductory modules will be available for free on YouTube, while advanced courses will offer hands-on training using enterprise tools. A recently launched course on Copilot for functional teams has crossed 200,000 views on the platform, the edtech company stated.
“At PW, we have always believed that quality education should know no boundaries, no city, no background, no barrier. This collaboration with Microsoft is a step in that direction,” Gopal Sharma, Chief Operating Officer at PhysicsWallah, said in a statement. “By integrating industry-grade AI tools, we are attempting to build a generation of professionals who are workforce-ready from day one.”
Microsoft said the initiative aligns with the need for scalable, employment-focused skilling in India. “PhysicsWallah is equipping learners with job-relevant experience in Microsoft AI technologies, skills they can directly apply in the workplace,” said Geoff Hirsch, Head of Channel, Microsoft Global Skilling.
The data analytics programme will cover SQL, Python, and data visualisation, with training on tools such as Power BI and Copilot. It will also include collaborative workflows using GitHub and cloud-based labs.
The digital marketing programme will include over 125 hours of training across search engine optimisation, performance marketing, and campaign optimisation, with a focus on using generative AI tools for workflow automation.
PhysicsWallah went public in November 2025, making it one of the first major edtech listings in India. The company raised around ₹3,480 crore through its IPO, which included both a fresh issue and an offer for sale.
