Pocket FM, Open AI Join Hands to Build AI-Native Entertainment Ecosystem

Audio platform Pocket FM has collaborated with OpenAI to deepen its AI-driven content strategy and support its growing global creator base.

The company said that it will integrate OpenAI’s APIs into its content production system, enabling over 300,000 writers on the platform to create, edit, localise, and scale audio series more efficiently. The move marks another step in Pocket FM’s push to build what it calls an AI-native entertainment ecosystem.

This collaboration brings OpenAI’s technology into PocketFM’s creator ecosystem to support faster content creation, localisation, and distribution, the company said.

Pocket FM began restructuring its content stack around generative AI in 2023. Since then, AI-led titles have become its fastest-growing segment, expanding at nearly 30% month-on-month. The platform now hosts over 100,000 AI-native audio series and records more than 12 billion minutes of listening every month.

He added that by combining OpenAI APIs with their deep content infrastructure and creator ecosystem, Pocket FM is building an entertainment platform where a single creator in any corner of the world can produce, publish, and reach millions of listeners globally, with the quality and consistency of a full production studio. 

The integration will also strengthen the platform's multilingual capabilities. With OpenAI’s translation and language tools, creators will be able to adapt stories for global audiences faster, helping successful titles expand beyond their original markets.
