Edtech startup Get Set Learn has partnered with Qualcomm Technologies and open-source electronics company Arduino to bring physical AI and future-ready STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education to schools across India.

The collaboration aims to strengthen learning in AI, electronics, robotics, and emerging technologies for K-12 students. As artificial intelligence moves beyond cloud software into real-world systems such as robotics, automation, and smart devices, the companies say students need hands-on experience building these technologies.

Through this initiative, schools will introduce classroom-ready programmes that combine coding, electronics, robotics, and artificial intelligence into structured learning pathways. The goal is to help students move from basic concepts to building real, working systems.

By combining Arduino’s open hardware platforms with Qualcomm’s energy-efficient edge AI technology, students will be able to design and build intelligent systems that work even in low-connectivity environments, the companies said. This is especially important in many parts of India where internet access may be limited.

The programme will also focus on on-device AI, processing data locally rather than relying fully on the cloud. This improves speed, privacy and cost efficiency while teaching students how real-world products are built.

Get Set Learn will lead the implementation through its school partnerships across India. The initiative also aims to upgrade existing Atal Tinkering Labs and STEAM labs into more structured, certification-based learning spaces aligned with future job skills.

Savi Soin, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Senior Vice President & President, Qualcomm India said in a statement, “India’s AI future will be built on locally deployed, energy-efficient physical intelligence, and that essential journey must begin in our classrooms today.” He added that giving students access to edge AI tools will help them solve real-world problems locally.

“India must build strong technical skills early to stay competitive in the AI era”, noted Priyavrata Mafatlal, Vice-Chairman, Arvind Mafatlal Group and Founder of Get Set Learn.

The initiative follows global technology standards to ensure schools invest in tools that are widely used in industry.
