Global engineering services firm Quest Global has acquired Bengaluru-based semiconductor design services firm BITSILICA to strengthen its portfolio.
With the acquisition, Quest Global looks to enhance its semiconductor portfolio and support its long-term strategy of building end-to-end capabilities spanning from concept and chip design to software integration. The company said the move will also expand its ability to serve global clients dealing with increasingly complex engineering challenges.
Founded in 2019, BITSILICA has built expertise in ASIC design, design verification, physical design, and embedded software. The company employs over 500 engineers across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Singapore, and Malaysia, catering to global clients in sectors such as mobile, artificial intelligence, IoT, memory and wireless technologies.
With this acquisition, BITSILICA brings its design verification capabilities aboard. This includes advanced competencies in functional and formal verification, gate-level simulation, power-aware verification, and validation. These capabilities are increasingly critical for industries like automotive and semiconductors, where precision and reliability are essential.
“The acquisition aligns with the company’s vision of becoming a trusted engineering partner for clients worldwide,” Ajit Prabhu, Co-founder and CEO of Quest Global, said in a statement. He noted that both companies share a common approach to solving complex engineering problems and delivering high-quality solutions.
Bhaskar Kakani, Co-founder and CEO of BITSILICA, added that the acquisition is a key milestone in the company’s growth journey. He highlighted the strategic alignment between the two firms, particularly in innovation and customer-focused engineering.
Quest Global, headquartered in Singapore, operates in over 18 countries with more than 93 delivery centres and a workforce exceeding 22,000 employees. The company provides engineering solutions across multiple industries, including aerospace, automotive, energy, healthcare, rail, and semiconductors.
