Cloud services provider Bharath Cloud has announced a partnership with Smartail AI, an AI-driven grading company, to drive the adoption of secure, scalable, data-sovereign AI in the education sector.
This collaboration aims to facilitate AI-led transformation in over 3,000 schools and universities across India by 2026, with rollouts occurring in phases aligned with institutional preparedness and academic structures.
Bharath Cloud’s sovereign AI cloud supports DeepGrade, which is Smartail’s premier platform, providing a secure, automated grading system, immediate student performance analytics, and tailored learning insights.
Together, the two companies aim to empower educational institutions to implement AI responsibly, ensuring data security, compliance, and pedagogical integrity are not compromised.
Swaminathan Ganesan, Co-Founder and CEO of Smartail, said in a statement, “After evaluating multiple providers, Bharath Cloud stood out for its high availability, scalability, low latency, GPU-CPU performance, and cost efficiency. Its secure, sovereign infrastructure enables us to scale DeepGrade, handling over one lakh answer evaluations daily while ensuring data security, AI sovereignty, and superior customer outcomes.”
The press release states that Smartail has enhanced its platform using Bharath Cloud’s solutions, processing over three million marks per month with approximately 97% accuracy. Question paper generation has increased by 17%, resulting in over 500 papers per month across various curricula. The secure network infrastructure ensures safe data storage and retrieval, supported by a cost-effective cloud architecture.
Moreover, Smartail offers institutions access to Bharath Cloud’s secure AI cloud infrastructure, creating a unified platform for AI and cloud management. This partnership aims to drive mutual growth beyond India by leveraging Bharath Cloud’s expertise to expand its solutions into global markets, particularly the UK and UAE.
“Partnering with Smartail allows us to showcase how deep-tech driven AI cloud infrastructure can empower educators and transform learning institutions, while supporting India’s broader digital transformation,” said Rahul Takkallapally, Co-Founder of Bharath Cloud. “We are delighted to be serving Smartail, one of the top ten startups selected by the IndiaAI Mission, and to be part of their journey.”
