Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a multi-year deal with English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur to support the football team's digital transformation efforts, as the IT major continues to deepen its presence in the sports and entertainment technology segment.
Under the agreement, TCS will become Tottenham Hotspur's digital transformation partner, helping the club modernise its digital infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity capabilities, deploy analytics tools, and enhance fan engagement across its digital platforms.
The partnership adds to TCS' growing portfolio of sports-related technology engagements globally. The Mumbai-headquartered company has increasingly used high-profile sporting associations to showcase its digital, data, and customer experience capabilities, while also expanding relationships with enterprises in adjacent sectors.
For Tottenham, the partnership comes as football clubs invest more heavily in technology to monetise fan relationships, personalise digital experiences, and derive insights from growing volumes of customer data.
“By combining data, technology, and design, we aim to help the (Tottenham Hotspur) Club deepen engagement with fans, create more connected and intuitive digital experiences across touchpoints”, Girish Ramachandran, President of Growth Markets at TCS, said in a statement.
The North London club, which won the UEFA Europa League in the 2024-25 season, has also been investing in expanding its digital ecosystem beyond matchday experiences.
As part of this partnership, TCS will leverage its capabilities in Salesforce and cybersecurity to support Tottenham Hotspur’s digital operations. TCS will also enable advanced analytics and insights, while driving deeper fan engagement, helping the Club harness data, modernise systems, and build a future-ready digital platform.
The deal also underscores the strategic importance of the UK market for TCS.
The company, which has operated in the country for five decades, recently announced plans to create 5,000 jobs in the UK over the next three years and serves more than 200 large British brands across industries.
"Our ongoing digital transformation at Spurs underpins our wider aims to deepen fan engagement and enhance user experiences across our growing range of digital touchpoints. We are delighted to be able to take a true industry leader in TCS on this exciting journey with us,” Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer at Tottenham Hotspur, said.
