Tech Mahindra has partnered with AI coding platform SpaceXSI to help enterprises use AI-assisted development in application modernisation projects.

The collaboration will combine Tech Mahindra’s engineering and enterprise transformation services with SpaceXSI’s development platform. The companies plan to focus on software delivery, code quality and developer productivity across technology, telecommunications, banking and financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and retail.

The partnership comes amid growing interest in using AI agents to automate parts of software development, including code generation and testing. AI agents are taking on more software engineering tasks, although the extent of automation varies across development workflows.

“Most enterprises don't need convincing that AI will change how they build software. What they need is expertise in rolling it out across diverse and large engineering teams without breaking what already works,” Toni Adams, Head of Global Partnerships at SpaceXSI, said in the announcement.

The companies plan to run joint go-to-market initiatives, customer engagements and industry-specific programmes. Tech Mahindra will also establish enablement and certification programmes to support adoption across client engineering teams.

Tech Mahindra said it would bring Grok Build expertise into its engineering transformation and application modernisation services. The company did not identify specific customer deployments, disclose financial terms or quantify expected productivity gains.

The companies said the offering was designed for enterprise environments, where governance, security and compliance are requirements.

Separately, Tech Mahindra plans to report AI revenue independently from H2 FY27. It has not disclosed how much revenue, if any, it expects this collaboration to generate.

The announcement did not specify when the joint offering would become available.
