Gurugram-based mutual funds platform ZFunds has an AI assistant for mutual fund distributors (MFDs) and wealth managers, as the company looks to simplify advisory workflows and help independent distributors scale their businesses.
Called ZIVA (ZFunds Intelligent Virtual Assistant), the AI-powered platform is designed to act as both a “thinking partner” and an execution engine for wealth managers, assisting them with portfolio reviews, market and fund research, client communication, business insights, and meeting preparation.
The wealthtech platform said the tool can help distributors conduct mock client calls, generate personalised portfolio recommendations, capture meeting insights and access real-time market analysis.
Citing data from ZFunds’ pilot rollout, the company said its platform reduced distributor workload by up to 60% by automating manual portfolio analysis and client servicing tasks. During the pilot involving 500 top partners, more than 5,000 client-ready proposals were generated using ZIVA, while users conducted over 9,000 minutes of mock client meetings on the platform.
“Distributors need support beyond data and research —they need help solving real, everyday problems. With AI-powered infrastructure, we are enabling them to deliver highly personalised investor experiences while scaling their practice. We are bringing enterprise-grade AI capabilities to independent distributors,” Manish Kothari, Co-founder of ZFunds, said in a statement.
The company said ZIVA aggregates research from authorised and compliant sources and converts it into actionable insights tailored to each distributor’s business. The platform enables users to construct goal-aligned portfolios, conduct portfolio reviews, and receive contextual prompts based on investor history and profiles.
In addition to portfolio intelligence, ZIVA also supports meeting preparation and client engagement workflows. The platform can prepare advisers using past notes, recent account activity and document summaries while enabling real-time note-taking, recording, transcription, and automated meeting summaries.
The AI assistant also includes multilingual voice and text capabilities across languages, including Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, and Telugu.
ZFunds said the platform also features a marketing engine that helps automate client engagement by generating ready-to-use communication and social media content, enabling distributors to maintain consistent investor interaction.
ZIVA was unveiled at the ZFunds Founders Summit 2026 in Gurugram and is now being rolled out to users across the platform. Backed by Elevation Capital, ZFunds said it currently supports more than 10,000 mutual fund distributors serving over 100,000 investors across India.
