Yotta Data Services has partnered with IntelliDB Enterprise to offer managed database-as-a-service (DBaaS) for AI applications on Yotta’s sovereign cloud in India.
The partnership combines Yotta’s cloud and AI infrastructure with IntelliDB Enterprise’s PostgreSQL database management platform and native vector database capabilities. The companies said the service will allow enterprises and government organisations to run AI workloads within India while meeting data residency and regulatory requirements.
The offering is targeted at government organisations, banks and financial services companies, regulated industries, enterprises and digital-native businesses that need databases for both conventional applications and AI workloads.
The companies said the service will support applications using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and AI agents by combining PostgreSQL with vector-database capabilities.
AI applications increasingly require databases capable of handling structured enterprise data alongside vector embeddings used by systems that retrieve information for large language models. Yotta and IntelliDB said their joint platform will provide these capabilities through a managed service.
Customers will also be able to modernise applications running on legacy databases and consume managed PostgreSQL with automated operations, high availability and security features.
“The next wave of enterprise transformation will be driven by AI, and every AI application depends on trusted, intelligent and sovereign data,” Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, Managing Director and CEO of Yotta Data Services, said.
“Our partnership with IntelliDB Enterprise strengthens this vision by adding an AI-ready database layer that enables organisations to build secure, scalable, and future-ready AI applications entirely on India's sovereign digital infrastructure,” he added.
The companies said the database services will be hosted entirely in India, allowing organisations to keep their application data in the country while running AI workloads.
The partnership comes as enterprises and government organisations look to run AI systems on infrastructure that meets local data residency and compliance requirements.
Yotta has been building its sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure portfolio, including cloud services, GPU infrastructure, AI model services and enterprise AI platforms. The IntelliDB partnership adds managed database services to that stack.
Gagandeep Singh, co-founder and CEO of IntelliDB Enterprise, said database infrastructure would play a central role as organisations scale AI deployments.
“AI initiatives and scaling for any organisation is only as strong as the data infrastructure underneath it,” Singh said.
“This partnership brings our secure, AI-powered and intelligent database platform to more Indian enterprises and government organisations, hosted entirely within India. Together with Yotta, we are simplifying database operations while giving customers a secure, scalable, AI-powered platform.”
The companies said the service will allow customers to move from traditional enterprise workloads to AI applications on the same sovereign cloud infrastructure, without moving data outside India.
