Srikanth Velamakanni, Co-founder, Group Chief Executive and Vice Chairman, at Fractal recently vowed his support to India as it fights the second wave. At present, the company has more than 2000 employees and the team in India have been working from home across more than 160 cities for a few months now.
“India is experiencing an unprecedented COVID surge (more than 2.2 million new cases and 16,000 deaths last week). India’s hospitals are at capacity and are highly stressed. There is a great sense of unease, anxiety, and fear everywhere. We hope that you, your loved ones, and your colleagues are safe,” said Velamakanni
The CEO explained that several Fractalites are experiencing symptoms, or are caregivers to loved ones, or are dealing with mental health situations brought about by the pandemic.
Last month, the analytics company initiated a corporate vaccination program in India. Fractal joined hands with Apollo Hospitals Group for pan India vaccination to initiate a vaccination program known as Kavach 2.0. The Kavach 2.0 program offers pre-vaccination support, inoculation, and post-vaccination support to all Fractalites and their loved ones who meet the vaccination criteria. The program is free of cost to the Fractalites.
In the message at their official blog, Velamakanni said, “Our heartfelt gratitude to all the healthcare and frontline teams, working tirelessly in the pandemic. Fractal CSR continues to support the community, especially frontline healthcare workers and economically disadvantaged lady scholars.” “Fractal has also contributed its Analytics and AI expertise to assist the Government of India with critical decision-making in managing disease spread, managing healthcare outcomes, restarting the economy, and citizen engagement,” he added.
The CEO mentioned that the Fractal’s Critical Events Team (FACET) is working 24×7 to ensure that the company is doing everything to support the people in India. For this initiative, the analytics company has taken a series of initiatives in order to ensure the health and well-being of all Fractalites. Besides this, Fractal has also activated the Business Continuity Plan, which will help in managing disruption wherever applicable.
Since last year, the Critical Events Team has monitored and supported Fractalites by the below mentioned measures-
- Providing access to high-quality information (reducing infodemic stress), psycho-social support through proactive outreach, medical partnerships, and more.
- Access to physical and mental health resources like access to high-quality coaches and therapists.
