Instructor-led and self-paced, IIT Roorkee’s course will enable students – as well as professionals – to upskill themselves while being homebound.

With the popularity of online courses surging since lockdowns were enforced amid the COVID-19 pandemic, educational institutions have been teaming up with edtech companies to release online versions of some of their courses on these platforms.

Adding to the list is IIT Roorkee, which has partnered with US-based CloudxLab to launch an Advanced Certification Course on Deep Learning. Instructor-led and self-paced, this course will enable students – as well as professionals – to upskill themselves while being homebound.

This course follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IIT Roorkee and CloudxLab. It also joins others in a list of material development collaboratively by both on subjects, including artificial intelligence (AI), data science, machine learning, and more.

According to Director of IIT Roorkee, Professor Ajit Chaturvedi, this is the best time for young people to upskill themselves. “This partnership will amplify our reach to offer the latest knowledge in tune with the needs of the industry,” he adds.
