Balkrishan "BK" Kalra has spent the last year repositioning Genpact from a traditional business process services company into an AI-led, agentic operations player. A founding member of Genpact, who took over as CEO in February 2024, BK has championed the idea that “there is no artificial intelligence without process intelligence,” making process expertise the cornerstone of the company’s AI strategy.

Last year, under his leadership, the company unveiled GenpactNext, its updated growth framework focused on agentic AI and advanced technology solutions, and led a global rebrand to reflect this strategic pivot. 

Under Kalra, Genpact has increasingly embedded AI into core enterprise workflows, with advanced technology solutions accounting for 27% of revenue and growing rapidly. BK has consistently argued that AI’s real value lies in the final 20% of execution, where deep industry context, judgement, accountability, and execution make AI work in the real world.
