AIM 100: India's Most Influential People Shaping AI in 2026
Ganesh Gopalan
Co-founder & CEO, Gnani AI

Over the past year, Ganesh Gopalan has strengthened Gnani AI's position as one of India's leading voice AI companies.
Under his leadership, the company raised a $10 million Series B round in March this year to accelerate the development of proprietary voice foundation models and expand into global markets including Japan, Indonesia, the US, and the Middle East. Gnani also scaled its enterprise voice platform to handle more than 30 million voice interactions every day, while investing in next-generation voice-to-voice large language models that eliminate the traditional speech-to-text pipeline and significantly reduce latency.
Gopalan has consistently argued that voice—not text—will become the primary interface for AI in countries like India. He believes multilingual, low-latency conversational AI is essential for enterprise adoption, particularly across banking, customer support, and public services. Rather than treating voice as an add-on, he has positioned it as the next frontier of generative AI, enabling more natural and accessible interactions for millions of users.
